Duane V. Vande Burgt

Duane V. Vande Burgt, age 73, passed away on January 24, 2019. He was born on February 13, 1945, son of the late John and Antonette (Van Ryte) Vande Burgt. Duane served his country with the Untied States Army as a proud member of the Military Police.

Duane is survived by his children: David (Marzenia) Vande Burgt, Dorrie Van Den Bogart, Lisa Janssen and Jim Vande Burgt; grandchildren: Cass and Bella Vande Burgt; wife, Shirley Vande Burgt and her sons, Scott and Brian Pompa; former wife, Donna Wendt; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents, John and Antonette; siblings: Virgil, Joan, Clayton, Rose, Gerald and Gloria; and a son-in-law, Jim Van Den Bogart.

A gathering for family and friends will take place on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home Little Chute location, 101 Canal Street, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the burial service at 2:00 p.m. Full military honors will also be performed. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute.
