Dr. Robert “Bob” William Blue, 66, of Appleton, WI, passed away unexpectedly at home from a heart attack on April 30, 2026. Bob was born on September 27, 1959, in Flint, Michigan.
With his loving wife of 40 years, Ivy, he enjoyed evenings at home cheering on the Detroit Lions and the Michigan Wolverines, cruising with close friends on their motorcycle, and taking warm vacations while enjoying a cocktail. Together, they built a life centered around family and hard work. His three daughters whom he loved deeply, Krystle, Rebecca, and Samantha, were his “most glorious achievements”. Nothing softened him more than his two grandchildren, Layla and Ryker, who gave him the undeniable privilege of being called “Poopa.”
Bob dedicated over 30 years of his life to his practice and patients at Darboy Family Chiropractic. As he approached retirement from chiropractic care, he took a position at North Shore Country Club, where he began living out his dream of groundskeeping—his own version of heaven on earth—while continuing his passion for golf.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ivy R. Blue; his three daughters, Krystle (James) Martin, Rebecca (Stephen) Schnurer, and Samantha (Eric Seefeldt) Blue; his grandchildren, Layla and Ryker Schnurer; his brothers, James (Prudy) Blue and Daniel (Claudette) Blue; his sister, Diane (Bill) Brown; his sister-in-law, Cheri Cromwell; his brother-in-law, Carl (Karen) Cromwell; and his special nephew, Nicholas (Noreen) Blue, along with many nieces, and cherished extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marilyn Kerry and William “Bill” Blue, and his brother, Thomas Blue.
Bob wouldn’t want us to mourn, but rather to celebrate his life by cracking open a cold Budweiser and raising it in his honor. Per his wishes, a funeral service will not be held, rather a celebration of life will be held Friday, May 29th from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 at the Gathering Hub, 728 Schelfhout Lane, Kimberly. After the Gathering Hub the family will continue to celebrate Bob's life at Hometown Pub, 759 Truman St., Kimberly where everyone is welcome.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which he proudly supported over the years.
