Donna Jean (Siebers) Simon, age 91, passed away peacefully of natural causes on August 25, 2025, in St. George, Utah. Born on January 8, 1934, in Kaukauna, Wisconsin; Donna was the cherished daughter of Lucinda (Vanderloop) and Henry Siebers. She grew up surrounded by the love of her family and community and carried that same devotion to family throughout her life. She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1952 and spent several years working as a stenographer at Thilmany Paper, before beginning the greatest journey of her life—marriage and motherhood.
On December 29, 1955, Donna married her beloved husband, James Argo Simon at St. Mary Church in Kaukauna. Together they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage until Jim’s passing in 2021. Their life together took them to many places—Montana, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, and Washington; while raising their four children. Donna was the heart of her family and poured her love into every meal and gathering. To her grandchildren, she was simply “Grandma”. She was the one who always had her famous Christmas cookies on hand, no matter the season.
In her free time, Donna found joy in bowling and golfing. She was a dedicated member of a bowling league in Idabel, Oklahoma; and an active participant at the Idabel Country Club. She loved playing in scrambles and tournaments with friends. Her faith was also a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Idabel.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Thomas (Teresa) Simon of Evanston, WY; Susan (Gary) James of Little Rock, AR; Michael (Nancy) Simon of Hochatown, OK; and Daniel (Traci) Simon of Coeur d’Alene, ID. Additionally she also had 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
