Donn R Van Dinter

Donn R. Van Dinter, 64, passed away on January 8, 2025 at home.  Donn was born on June 18, 1960 to Eugene and Joannie (Schermitzler) Van Dinter “Bald Eagle”.  On October 10, 1986 he was united in marriage to Peggy Higgins.  He was a welder for Steel King for many years.  Fishing and hunting were Donn’s passion.  He especially enjoyed fishing with his son Donn Jr and bear hunting with his wife.  Donn also enjoyed a good barbeque and enjoyed smoking his own meat and going out on the 4-wheeler. 

Donn is survived by his wife Peggy, children; Donn Van Dinter Jr., Ashley Pagan, and Courtney (Ken) Carothers, grandchildren; Lacey and Garrett Carothers, sister Diane (Dave) Jansen, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jenny and George Higgins, brothers-in-law; Darwin (Dawn) Higgins and Brian Higgins and sister-in-law Debbie Higgins, other relatives and friends.  Donn was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Calvin Van Dinter, and brothers-in-law; Gary Higgins, Ricky Higgins and Randy Higgins. 

The funeral service for Donn will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Verkuilen Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna.  Time of visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  For online condolences please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
