Donald Krueger, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2024, doing what he enjoyed most, working outside.
Don grew up on a farm, which started his lifelong career in the farming industry. He worked at Twelve Corners Cheese Factory and worked building Harvestore silos; He ended his career farming with his brother David. If you stopped by the farm, you would most likely find Don (affectionally called Goob by his family), working on one of their many tractors.
Don is survived by his siblings: Jeanette (Carl) Hartzheim; David; Bob (special friend Val); Sue (Joe) Kamien; Joan (Carl) Coenen; Carol (Wayne) Van Camp; Dean; Tom (Lynn); Larry (Ellen); Dick (Vicki); Dale; Patti (Jeff) Gerdmann; and Bruce (Ann). He is further survived by his godchild, Darren Van Camp, and numerous nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Naomi and his brother, Jeff.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home Freedom Location, N3972 Columbia Ave., Freedom. Visitation will continue Friday morning at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
