Donald J. Gerhartz

Donald J. Gerhartz Jr., 68, passed away on January 24, 2021 from complications of Covid.  Donald was born on March 28, 1952 to Donald and Marie (Golden) Gerhartz Sr. 

Don worked at Mills Fleet Farm for over 20 years, But Don was most proud of serving his country from over 20 years in the Army National Guard and four years as a Marine. 

Don enjoyed spending time with family whether sitting around the campfire at Legend Lake or skiing with family and friends. 

Don is survived by his siblings; Richard (Ann Marten) Gerhartz, Patricia (David) Santkuyl, Jean (Mike) Pawlowski, Ann Gerhartz, Mary (Fred Mader) Riner, Nancy (Dennis) Van Dyn Hoven, and he will be truly missed by his furry friend Misty.  He is further survived by nieces and nephews; Neal Haufe, Angie (Chad) Johnson, Valerie (John) Guadagni, Stacy (Timm) Arnoldussen, Tina (Robert) Lenard, Shawn Haufe, Ryan (Andrea) Van Dyn Hoven, Richard (Laura Beth Petermann) Santkuyl, Christopher (Billie) Pawlowski, and Paloma Gonzalez, aunts and uncles; Mary and Jim Nussbaum, Florence Heckrodt and Margie and Tom Kussow, great nephews, great nieces, cousins and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Marie, and beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors at Theda Care Appleton, especially Megan and Amber. You all are truly heros.
