Combined Locks – Donald G. “Don” Brewster, age 64, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, September 10, 2021. He was born in Appleton on December 2, 1956, son of Douglas and Bernette (Zeichert) Brewster. He married Cindy Vander Wyst on August 17, 1990.
Don was a generous man, he had a big heart and a great sense of humor. He loved golfing, fishing and grilling out. You could usually find him having a good time with family and friends at his favorite hangout, Peg and Tommy G’s.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Cindy Brewster; favorite daughter, Morgan Brewster; mother, Bernette Brewster; siblings: Kathy (Don Rosenberg) Brewster, Maureen Toonen and Tim (Dee) Brewster; brothers and sisters-in-law: RoxAnne Brewster, Kim (Mark) Raymond, Sandy Laurie, Joe (Mary) Vander Wyst and Patty Vander Wyst; mother-in-law, Betty Vander Wyst; life-long pal, Jim Schmit; nieces and nephews: Seth Rosenberg, Emily Rosenberg, Kara (fiance, Andy Casavant) Cumings, Godson, Ben (Carrie) Toonen, Andy (Rikki) Toonen, Marina Raymond, Leland Raymond, Max Vander Wyst and Riley Vander Wyst; great nieces and nephews: Tate, Aubrey, Harper, Drew, Madigan and Riggins; his beloved dog, Meeko; and many special friends.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Doug Brewster; brother, Randy Brewster; father-in-law, Roger “Butter” Vander Wyst.
A visitation for Don will take place on Sunday, September 19, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home KAUKAUNA LOCATION, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive. A reception will follow at Peg and Tommy G’s in Kaukauna. A celebration of his life will take place on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Tanner’s Grill & Bar in Kimberly from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Please wear your Packer attire for the game that day.
