Donald H. Beno

Donald H. Beno, age 96, of Kaukauna passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at his home.  He was born on September 11, 1924, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, son of Henry and Josephine (Barras) Beno. 

Donald graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1941.  He attended St. Norbert College beginning in 1941 and graduating in 1949 with a break for an extensive tour of Europe courtesy of the U.S. Army.   He was a veteran of World War II (42th Division - European Theater) and the Korean War.

Donald married Genevieve Courchaine on November 4, 1947 and they shared 72 wonderful years together.

Donald was the Vice President of Finance and Operation at Fox Valley Technical College until his retirement in 1989.  He worked with computers from 1951 through his retirement while employed with Fort Howard, Harnishfeger, Thilmany and Fox Valley Technical College.

Donald is survived by son, Henry (Ellen) Beno; daughter, Donna Beno; daughter-in-law, Mitzi Beno; grandsons: Dr. Donald J. Beno, Thomas (Anna) Beno, Matthew (Debbie) Beno and Patrick (Ashley) Beno; sister-in-laws, Dolores Process and Mary Beno; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Josephine Beno; son, Mark Beno; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Beno; sister, Lois Vickman; brother, Gene Beno; sister-in-laws, Gertrude Kaufman, Genevieve A. Courchaine and Florence Paulick; brothers-in-law: Arthur Paulick, Richard Vickman, and Don Process; and niece Patty Paulick Bellinger.

The family would like to thank all Dad’s caregivers at Home Instead.  We couldn’t have done it without them!

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2019, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Don Everts officiating.
