Dolores A. (Sprangers) Kilsdonk

Dolores A. Kilsdonk, age 90, of Darboy passed away peacefully on her 90th birthday surrounded by her family on Friday, October 6, 2023 at St. Paul Villa.  She was born on October 6, 1933 in the town of Vandenbroek, daughter of the late Edward and Evelyn (Luniak) Sprangers.  On June 7, 1955 Dolores married Robert F. Kilsdonk.  They were blessed with 4 daughters and 50 years of marriage before Robert preceded her in death on April 24, 2006.  Dolores was a very gracious woman, who was generous with her talents and her time, volunteering at church.  The farmhands enjoyed eating home-cooked meals at Dolores’ family table.  She loved time spent with her grandchildren; wintering in Florida; and spending time at their cottage on Lake Winnebago.  She was a creative woman who was known for sewing, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, and quilting.  She also loved a good card game.  Her kind, selfless spirit will be missed by those who love her.

She is survived by her daughters: Diane (Randy) Hermsen, Susan (Randy) Ahrens, Lynn (Bill) Gardner, Ann (Ben) Behling; grandchildren: Wendi Seichter; B.J. (Jodi) Hermsen; Kayla (Candice) Ahrens; Holly (Colton) Schenk; Stephanie (sp. friend Jarod) Gardner; Brandon (sp. friend Grace) Gardner; Tristan Behling; Ryker Behling; great-grandchildren: Ellie, Georg, Henri, and Charley; her siblings: Joyce Apitz; Judy (Tom) Danke; Gordon Sprangers; Glen (Cheri) Sprangers; brother-in-law Dennis (Karen) Gloudemans.  In addition to her parents and her beloved husband Robert, she was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Angelica; sisters: Arlene Gloudemans, LaVerne (Del) Beck; brothers-in-law: Robert Kauth, Fred Apitz; and infant niece, Theresa Beck.

Funeral Mass for Dolores will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Parish – Darboy (W2796 County Rd. KK).  The family will receive guests directly at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Interment will be in Holy Angels Cemetery, Darboy.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Dolores’ name to the Holy Spirit Endowment Fund.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Paul Villa for their care.  Also, a very special thank you to the staff of St. Paul Hospice for their care and compassion.
