Delores P. Holmes

Combined Locks – Delores P. Holmes, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home on January 23, 2021, after a long-fought battle with cancer. 

Delores was born on July 14, 1944, the daughter of the late Raymond and Selma (Meredith) Stark.  On May 27, 1967, she married her true love, Russell Holmes, at Freedom Moravian Church, where she was a life-long member.

Delores enjoyed many years at their cottage and later their retirement home in Crivitz.  Her favorite activities were spending time with friends, having bonfires, playing cards and doing puzzles.  She loved her dogs and was the Green Bay Packers’ number one fan.  Most important to her was her husband, children and grandchildren, who she cherished and were the focus of her life.  

Delores is survived by her husband of 53 years, Russell “Sonny” Holmes; her children: Steven (Karri) Holmes and Sabrina (Matt) Browne; and grandchildren: Skyler (Ryan) Patterson, Kayla (Tyler) Anderson, Alex Browne, Dalton Risch, Isabella Holmes Zoltak, Tyler Holmes, Sophia Risch and Austin Holmes.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Selma Stark; her daughter, Suzanne Holmes; and her sister, Maxine Stark.
