Dave "Bucky" Berghuis

Dave “Bucky” Berghuis, age 72, passed away on November 22, 2021. He was born on August 9, 1949, son of the late Sylvester and Mary (Squire) Berghuis. Dave married Sandra Pociask on Feb. 12, 1971 and celebrated 50 years of marriage this year.

Dave owned Bucky’s on the Corner in Little Chute for several years before his retirement. He was an avid Brewers and Bucks fan and enjoyed fishing. He loved to play a good game of cribbage any chance he could.

Dave is survived by his wife, Sandra Berghuis; a daughter, Stacie (Brian) Bergeron and their children: Sydnie (fiance, Jake Moradlo), Lindsie, and Allie Bergeron; a son, Troy (Carol) Berghuis and their children: Grant, Blake, and Ava Berghuis; siblings: Robert (Dolly) Berghuis, Mary Jane (Roger) Leick, and Carole (William) Gloudemans; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Mary Berghuis.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home LITTLE CHUTE LOCATION, 101 Canal Street. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Dave’s name.
