Dave L. Vanden Wyngaard

David L. Vanden Wyngaard 72, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. He was born on June 23, 1950, son of the late Maureanus and Lucille (Van Gompel). David married Dawn (Gauthier) on September 25, 1993.

David proudly served his country in 1970 and 1971 in the United States Army, stationed in Alaska. He was a dedicated employee at Appleton Paper for 42 years, retiring in 2013.

David enjoyed the simple things in life such as reading, playing cards with family, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and was very committed to his weekly sign-ins at Jack’s Rose Hill. David was also an avid gun enthusiast, history buff, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

David is survived by his wife, Dawn of 30 years, children, Amy Vanden Wyngaard, Jodi (Darrin) Otis, Kirk (Jennifer) Vanden Wyngaard, Tyler (Kirsti) Vanden Wyngaard, grandchildren, Bree, Bailey, Ben, Alison, Kaitlyn, Jake, Audyn, Clark and Jones. He is further survived by his brothers, Al (Pat), Rick (Laura), Tom (Julie) Vanden Wyngaard and sister, Susie (Rick) Kain, brother-in-law, Keith (Carrie), Pat (Sally) and Mike Gauthier as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, David is proceeded in death by his brother, Dennis, sister-in-law, Bobbie, mother-in-law, Elaine and father-in-law, Dale Gauthier and granddaughter, Savannah Lynn Otis

Funeral services for David will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Verkuilen- Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna location, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr, Kaukauna. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
