Cliff H. Brockman, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 6, 2022. He was born on May 24, 1937, son of the late Arthur and Rose (Sylvester) Brockman. Brock proudly served his county for four years as a Marine. After his service, he married Cathy Biese on December 29, 1960, and he always remembered their anniversary.
Brock ran field trials with his beagles for many years. He and his family raised many quality dogs for competition. He retired at age 59 from Kimberly Clark after 30 years as a pipefitter. The family enjoyed many years after his retirement at the cottage in Wabeno on Little Long Lake “God’s Country”. Brock spent countless hours fishing and enjoying rounds of golf and games of cribbage.
Brock is survived by his wife, Cathy Brockman; sons: Steve (Gail), Wayne (Lori), Tom (Crystle), Todd and Dean (Linda) Brockman; grandchildren: Cole, Sean, Ashlee, Amber, Nick, Emilie, Theresa and Brandon; a sister, Jeanette Wilz; a brother, Raymond “Heimer” Brockman; in-laws: James Biese and Roselinda (Roger) Kahler.
Brock was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Rosemary Biese; grandson, Christian Brockman; and several siblings and in-laws.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home LITTLE CHUTE location, 101 Canal Street. Full military honors will be performed at 6:00 p.m. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
