Cindy M. Esqueda

Cynthia “Cindy” Esqueda was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. After a long battle with ALS, she left the world in the comfort of her own home surrounded by friends and family on September 3, 2021 at the age of 67.

Cindy was born in Askeaton, WI to Arthur and Annie Weber on May 5, 1954.  She was the second of nine children and loved her parents, brothers and sisters with all her heart.  She graduated from Wrightstown High School in 1972.  In 1987, she moved to Minocqua with her family and found a love of nature and the “up north” atmosphere.  While there she earned her degree in Administration, formed many lifelong friendships, and met the love of her life, Bob.  She is a loving mother to Sonya, Candice, Tiffany, and Collin; step mother to Rebecca, Janell, Olivia and Bristel and grandmother to Emma, Jacob, Rebekah, Addie, Nola, Alex and Olivia.

The simplest pleasures brought great joy to Cindy.  Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.  She loved to get together with friends and family and take a simple hike on the local nature trails.  She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities, no matter how big or small.

Her family wishes to thank those that have supported and loved Cindy throughout her journey.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, N369 Military Road, Sherwood. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, all monies donated for the funeral will be forwarded to “Project ALS” in Cindy’s Honor.
