Charles E. Palmer

Charles Edward Palmer died after a difficult illness at Appleton Medical Center on May 27, 2022. He was the son of James and Bernice Palmer, born on January 16, 1950. He is survived by his wife Nancy, son Aaron, sister Bonnie (Lynn), and many dear friends and relatives. Chuck, as he was known to his friends and loved ones, lived nearly his entire life in Appleton. He was a devoted husband to Nancy—the love of his life—for fifty years, and he was a kind, generous, and patient father.

He joined the Holy Christian Church in 1950 through baptism and remained a faithful Christian until death. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Little Chute.

Chuck joined the United States Navy after high school, serving two years on the U.S.S. Sierra stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. He then returned to Appleton to start his married life with Nancy. He worked at the R. Sabee Company for over thirty years and finally at Pacon as a mechanic. He loved to golf, hunt, fish, and to enjoy the company of friends with a whiskey Old Fashioned, sweet, with olives.

He is deeply loved by his family and many friends, and will be sorely missed. We rejoice that he is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, free of the pains and weariness that were such a burden in his last years.

A funeral service will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 705 E. Greenfield, Dr., Little Chute, WI at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 3, 2022. There will be no visitation prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be sent to St. Luke's Lutheran Church at the address above.
