Celestine "Sally" C. Bolwerk

Celestine (Sally) Bolwerk, Kimberly, age 92 passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on December 15th, 2025.  She was born January 7, 1933 in Little Chute to the late Peter L. and Jeanette (Fischer) Van Dinter.  On January 27, 1953 she was united in marriage to William (Bill) Bolwerk at St. John Catholic church in Little Chute.  Bill proceeded her in death on January 28, 2015.

She loved volunteering at St. Joe’s Food Program and St. Paul’s nursing home.  She also loved playing cards, reading, cheering on the Packers and Badgers, going to her grandkids sporting events and eating Cheetos. She was often called the “cookie grandma” because she always had cookies available when someone would come to visit.  If you were lucky, you would have a bag of them to take home. Her faith was always at the center of her life and her family.

She is survived by her children; Janet (Dixon) Kuchenbecker, Shawano; Dave (Carol) Bolwerk, Cedarburg; Lynn (Lee) Fish, Appleton; Jean (Adrian A.) Vanden Acker, New London; Mike P. (LeAnn) Bolwerk, Beckville TX; Don (Madeline) Bolwerk, Forney TX.

Grandchildren: Jon Kuchenbecker (girlfriend Melissa), Jill (Scott) Manteufel, Andrew (Anna) Bolwerk, Aaron (Jaime) Bolwerk, Jacob Bolwerk, Jenni (Doug) Pomrening, Jason Fish, Jeff Fish, Mark (Holly) Maas, Heather Vanden Acker, Jason Vanden Acker, Christopher (Annika) Bolwerk, Joshua (Melanie) Bolwerk, David (Lisa) Bolwerk, Brandon (Megan) Bolwerk, Thomas (Breanna) Bolwerk.

Great Grandchildren: Payton, Kristin, Abel, Ashlyn, Tyler, Carson, Callie, Reed, Oliver, Olan, Lindsay (Bobby), Andrew, Nate, Kevin, Collin, Rylie, Oliver and Nora

Great Great Grandchildren: Cameron, Weston and Saxton

She is also survived by brother and sister-in-laws Adriana Evers, Kaukauna: Henry (Mary) Bolwerk, Combined Locks; George Bolwerk, West Bend and Bev Bolwerk, Gwinn MI.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Nancy; brothers Roger Van Dinter and Dennis and Sharon Van Dinter; father and mother-in-law George and Marie Bolwerk; brother and sister-in-laws Vincent and Gertrude Gloudemans, John and Flo Bolwerk, Barb Bolwerk, Bob and Helen Bolwerk and Hank Evers.

Funeral mass for Sally will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at St Paul’s Catholic Church, 410 Wallace St, Combined Locks.  A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Food program, Menasha or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
