Cecilia Mary (Vander Wielen) Sweere

Cecilia M Sweere, 94, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.  She was born on October 14. 1929 to the late Anthony and Johanna (DeWildt) Vander Wielen in Kimberly.  On October 15, 1949 she was united in marriage to James Sweere and he preceded her in death on April 17, 2001. Cecilia was a member of Holy Spirit Church in Kimberly.  Cecilia enjoyed babysitting, bingo, cards, and volunteering at church.

Cecilia is survived by her daughters; Linda Roovers, Donna (Pete Berken) Lowe, Debra (Pat) Dolan, Sandra (Kim) Marquardt, and Trisha (Richard) Welk, four sons, Michael (Janet Alcock), Richard (Melanie), Roger and Carl (Lyn) Sweere, 22 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren, a brother Thomas Vander Wielen, and a sister Patricia Gavaert, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Cecilia was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson Lucas Sweere, great grand son Tyler Clark, son in law Don Lowe, brother Francis Vander Wielen, and sisters Bertha Wachtendonk, Agnes Vanden Oever and Bernadine Mignon.

The funeral mass for Cecilia will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 600 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly.  A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
