Cathy M. Wall Obituary

Catherine M. Wall, 52, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Ascension Northeast Wisconsin - St. Elizabeth Hospital, surrounded by her siblings.  She was born on March 11, 1974, to the late Donald and Josephine Wall.

Cathy was the second of four children.  She lived her whole life in Little Chute, Wisconsin, actively participating in community activities and volunteering at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.  She was a 1992 graduate of Little Chute High School and continued on to earn a degree in flexographic printing from Fox Valley Technical College.  Cathy worked for Thrivent in their Payment Services area for the last 10 years.

Cathy lived a life as vibrant and colorful as the artwork she created, filling her 52 years with music, travel, and an unwavering devotion to others.  In her spare time, she enjoyed painting and crafting.  She took a lot of pride in sharing those talents; in fact, several statues she restored are currently on display at St. John’s Church.  She often spoke of the fun evenings doing crafts and playing games with friends.  She learned to sew at an early age and was able to imagine a design and create it without a pattern.  Helping others came naturally to Cathy.  Whether there was someone in need near home, at work, or in church.   She spent many years playing the trumpet in the Little Chute Community Band, supporting local parades and concerts, along with being band president and historian.  Additionally, Cathy loved traveling.  She was on a journey to visit as many states as possible across the country, and recently returned from an adventurous trip to Europe with her sister Colleen. Cathy packed a lifetime of creativity, adventure, and love into her 52 years, leaving behind a world made brighter by her presence.

She is survived by her three siblings: brother Gene (Barb) Wall, brother Brian (Malinda) Wall, and sister, Colleen Wall; her aunt, Suzanne Lessner; uncles: George (Peggy) Wall and Ken Walton; and niece, Elena Wall.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Josephine Wall; grandparents: George and Catherine Wall, and Andrew and Olive Bryll; her uncle, John Lessner; and aunts: Peppi Walton and Gertrude Scheibel.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vandenbroek Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be livestreamed at the church website: www.stjn.org. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Cathy’s name.

The family would like to thank Fox Valley Metro Police Department, Gold Cross Ambulance, and the medical staff at Ascension Northeast Wisconsin - St. Elizabeth Hospital Emergency Department for their care and compassion during Cathy’s final hours and for their support to the Wall family.
