Catherine "Cathy" M. Pelnar

Catherine Marie Pelnar, 61, of Seymour, passed away on January 6, 2025 at her home with her best friend, Joel, by her side. Cathy brought joy, care, and love to all people she knew.

Cathy was born on November 26, 1963 to Walter and Sandra (De Groot) Bilquist.

She proudly worked at Carver Yachts for 38 years and spent her last 4 years at Infinity Machine and Engineering. Some of her hobbies and passions included fishing, gardening (especially flowers), Goodwill thrifting, Ranger rides, watching sunsets, her children & grandchildren, and her pets. What she enjoyed most was spending time and talking with family and friends.

Cathy is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband Joel; her children: Nicholas (Ashley) Streble, Cody Streble (Brittany Brodziski), and Kayla Streble (Tyler Mrotek); step-daughters: Isabelle Pelnar (Josh Dobizl) and Jacqueline Braun (Mitch Moes); four grandchildren: Kennedy, Juliet, Callahan, and Violet Streble; mother, Sandra Bilquist; brothers: Tony (Elaine) Bilquist and William “Billy” Bilquist (Laura Thompson); sisters: Lorrie (Paul) Becker and Cindy Bilquist (Charlie Braun); father-in-law, Lowell Pelnar; and sister-in-law, Ann Brennan (Rodney Smits). She is further survived by her children’s father, Jeff Streble; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Bilquist and mother-in-law, Louise Pelnar.

A Memorial Service for Cathy will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 12:00 p.m. at Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, N3972 N Columbia Ave. Freedom, WI 54130.
