Caryl R. Rollo, age 89, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026. She was born on January 30, 1937, daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Rollo.
Caryl was a huge animal lover and a firm believer in taking care of the environment. She worked as a paralegal for many years at various places in the valley before her retirement. The only thing usually on her TV was her favorite Wisconsin Public Television, or listening to Wisconsin Public Radio. She was a long-time financial supporter of the station, as well as many other of her favorite charities. Caryl was always willing to help those in need, and was a wonderful caregiver for several family members that needed her.
Caryl is survived by her step children and their spouses: Rob (Sue) Van De Leygraaf, Lisa Van De Leygraaf (Rupert), Keith (Missy) Van De Leygraaf and Julie Van De Leygraaf-Dake; Daughter-in-law: Becky (Tony) Zelenk, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Caryl was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Rob Jaeckel; husband, Bob Van De Leygraaf; stepson, Gary Van De Leygraaf; siblings: Kathleen and Robert; and many members of Bob’s family.
Caryl will be laid to rest next to her husband Bob on Friday, May 1, 2026, at St. John Cemetery in Little Chute. There will be a graveside service at 4:00 p.m., all are welcome to join.
A special thanks to Debbie, Rod, Suzi, all EMT’s, Emergency personnel and staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
