Carol A. (Larson) Quaintance

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our amazing mom, grandma and great grandma Carol Ann Quaintance on February 21, 2025.  She was born on October 1, 1945 to Thedore and Bernice Larson.  Carol grew up in Combined Locks until the family moved to Kaukauna where she met the love of her life, Ron Quaintance.  They were married October 6, 1962 and spent 37 years together until his passing in April of 2000.

Carol had several careers throughout her life, but her most rewarding one was with the Kaukauna Area School District working with special needs children.

Her hobbies included sewing, knitting, crafting, working in her gardens, canning and making the best zucchini breads, soups and potato salad.   

Time with her family was her favorite time.  Many years were spent making special memories at their place in Shawano, especially the fun nights spent at Washington Inn.  Carol always enjoyed her adventures with her best friend Randi, and was always looking forward to the next one.

Carol is survived by her son Jeff (Kay) Quaintance, Daughters; Jodi (Brian) Helf and Gina (Dan Siegel) Britten, grandchildren; Justin (Michel) Kersten, Becky (Dave) Grotenhuis, Amber Quaintance, Heather Quaintance, Kyle (Jess) Quaintance, Dylan Quaintance, Ryan (Vanessa) Britten, Blake Britten, great grandchildren; Ella, Ava, Haylee, Caitlin, Mckenzie, Colin, Riker, siblings; Jerry (Mary) Larson, Linda Sprangers, Don Larson, Jack (Lori) Larson, and Yong Larson, many nieces, nephews, and Ron’s siblings and her best friend Randi Hansen.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Bernice Larson, her husband Ron, Ron’s parents, Leroy and Loretta Quaintance, a brother William Larson and many other relatives. 

The memorial service for Carol will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Verkuilen Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna.  A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  For online condolences please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
