Carol Mae Keberlein, 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, with her family by her side. Carol was born on March 21, 1930, to George and Delphine (Bodoh) Collar. On June 2, 1949, she was united in marriage to Joseph Keberlein. They were one month shy of 71 years of marriage before Joe’s passing in May of 2020. Above all, Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and she made the best desserts, especially her apple crisp that her grandchildren and great grandchildren fondly remember. Carol had a deep and strong faith, trusting in God throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and children. They also enjoyed crafting together, and Carol’s other many talents included sewing, needle point, and painting. She was an avid golfer and loved playing cards, especially cribbage where she took much delight in skunking you.
Carol is survived by her children; Joseph (Mary) Keberlein, Jean (Charles) Follendorf, Kathy Neitzke, John (Lisa) Keberlein, Terri Walker, Greg (Debra) Keberlein, Randy (Kathleen) Keberlein, Tim Keberlein, Lori (Sam) Leith, grandchildren; Joe III, Kerri, Wendy, Heather, Heidi, Andrea, Michelle, Nicole, Tara, Heidi, Jennifer, David, Amanda, Kyle, C.J., Dustin, Ethan, Erin, Collin, Elizabeth, Christine, Brian, Jason, Jessica, Justin, Teagan, Lexi, Preston, Mike and Matt, greatgrandchildren; Meghan, Jacob, Benjamin, Jessica, Samantha, Katelyn, Maddie, Hailey, Nic, Hunter, Addie, Gionni, Armani, Teejay, Owen, Austin, Riley, Dawson, Reece, Brody, Mason, Evan, Aidan, Jameson, Carly, Natalie, Logan, Amara, Leighton, Sylas, Dexton, Hartley, Willow, Hendrix, Madalyn, Olivia, Raegan, Elliana, Nolan, Morgan, Cameron, Lexi, Brooklyn, Jaxson, Dylan, Tyler, Tobias, Finnley, Jayden, Arabella, Maddox, Walter, Michael, Theo, Rowan, Avery, Autumn, Aspen, Charli, and Samantha. She is further survived by 8 great great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband Joe, a daughter, Cindy, great grandson, Tyler, her parents and in-laws, brothers Vernon and Day Collar, sister Joyce Pagel and all of Joe’s siblings.
The funeral mass for Carol will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 410 Wallace St. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. For online condolences please visit www.verkuilenfh.com
