Calvin S. Martin

Calvin S. Martin, age 83, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at his home in Kaukauna. He was born on January 13, 1942 in DeKalb, IL to the late Stanley and Margretta (Marvick) Martin. Calvin was united in marriage to the late Joyce (Stewart) until her passing on December 25, 2007.

Calvin attended school in the Waterman, IL School District and Bradley University in Peoria, IL. In his youth he played basketball, baseball, track, and wrestling. Calvin was proud of his Catholic faith and was actively involved in many different ministries including prison ministries and projects in the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Honduras.

Calvin is survived by his daughters: Camy (Rafael) Navarro, Annette Kern; eight grandchildren; 15 great grand children; and siblings: Larry Martin, and Peggy (Terry) Swift. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Martin; parents, Stanley Martin and Margretta (Robert) Heriaud; and children: Suzette and Michael Martin.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church 119 W 7th Street, Kaukauna. Visitation will take place at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kaukauna.
