Brendan P. Uitenbroek

Brendan Peter Uitenbroek, age 42 of Menasha, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 27, 2022.

Brendan enjoyed fishing, especially trolling on Lake Michigan with his Grandpa Scoop and won team of the year for Midwest Walleye Series walleye tournaments with his sister, Melaina. He enjoyed gun and bow hunting. Brendan and his brother Tyler raced enduro cars at 141 Speedway for a few years. This came from his love of watching NASCAR. Most recently he found joy in spending time with his nieces and nephews, and loved doing anything that brought him closer to the people he loved. He also enjoyed playing cards and shooting clays with his brother Connor. Brendan was especially thankful for his sister Andrea’s care and support, except for that “thing” with his beloved Buick. Brendan obtained his associate’s degree in welding from Fox Valley Tech. His career in welding included travel to places such as Michigan and Cuba.

Brendan is survived by his parents Richard and Donna (Subert) Uitenbroek; his siblings: Andrea (Steve) Opsteen, Tyler (Laura), Connor (Samantha), Melaina (Greg) Tagge; nieces and nephews: Gannan, Violet, Justin, Marlon, Jackson, Zoe, Elowyn, Rachel, and his Godson Arthur; paternal Grandmother Irene Uitenbroek; maternal Grandmother Joan Subert; Godparents Leo Uitenbroek and Patti Bednarski. Brendan is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Brendan is preceded in death by his maternal Grandfather Joseph “Scoop” Subert; paternal Grandfather Denis Uitenbroek; and his Cousin Craig Uitenbroek.

Visitation for Brendan will be on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Verkuilen Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr. Kaukauna, beginning at 4 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Holy Spirit Parish, W2796 County Rd KK in Appleton, from 9 am until the time of service at 11 am.
