Bill G. Schmitt “Over Kill Bill”, age 77, passed away at his home in Fremont after a lengthy battle against cancer. He was born on November 20, 1946, son of the late George and Ruth (Despins) Schmitt.
More than anything, Bill loved people and making them happy. He loved entertaining people through his stories, jokes and very loud music. He owned and operated Bill-Et Coin vending business and ran that successfully for many years. Bill also owned and operated the Marina Bar in Kaukauna for many years. After selling the bar, Bill operated The “Over Kill Bill” DJ show that brought him around the country entertaining at parties with his video and music shows. Bill was a huge Elvis fan and a lover of all dogs. His personality was larger than life and he will be deeply missed.
Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cindy Schmitt; children: Dawn (special friend, Eric Hamus) Brandt, Mick (special friend, Ellen Wicker) Schmitt, Janell (Peter) Vircks and Ryan (Sara) Schmitt; step-daughter, Cheryl (Kenny) Wright; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings: Sue (Don) LaBudde, Vern (Robin) Schmitt, Dave Schmitt, Nancy (John) Mainville, Sharie (John) Stapleton, Victor (special friend, Jean) Schmitt, Lori (Bob) Bain and Cindy (Dave) Bain; brothers and sisters-in-law: Judy Schmitt, Kim (Roy) Casperson, Dawn Lepsch, Timothy (Michelle) Lepsch, Tammy (Matt) Talo, Todd (Tammy) Lepsch and Destinie Lepsch; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth Schmitt; siblings: Ted Schmitt, Dale Schmitt and infant twin brothers, George and John Schmitt; father and mother-in-law, William and Beverly Lepsch; in-laws: Ronald (Debbie) Lepsch and Tad Lepsch.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home Kaukauna Location, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna.
