Bessie Knott

Bessie (Branum) Knott, 80, Kimberly, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

She was born in Tennessee on May 5, 1940, a daughter of the late Willie and McHaley (Parsons) Branum. Bessie lived many years in this area and loved helping people. She enjoyed walking and was an avid bus rider as she did not drive. Bessie belonged to Bethany Lutheran Church, and attended regularly prior to Covid-19. Bessie was always willing to lend a hand and was very caring. She will be sadly missed.

Bessie is survived by her children: Dennis Knott, Barb (Paul) Huss, Cindy (Lyle) Johnson, Dewayne Knott, Lisa Davisson and Diane (special friend Theresa Becker) Knott. She also leaves 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents a son, Jeffrey Knott a daughter, Patricia, two brothers, two sisters and a grandchild.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, February 1, 2021 from 5 to 7 PM at VERKUILEN-VAN DEURZEN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME (2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna).  A funeral service will follow at 7 PM.  The service will be live streamed for those who cannot attend on the Verkuilen Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home Facebook page starting at 7 PM.

The family sends special thanks to the staff of Frontida-Kimberly for their kind and compassionate care of Bessie over the last two years as well as to Laura, a dear friend of the family.
