Obituary

Bernice C. (Maroszek) Nytes, of Mackville, 80 passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 13, 2021 surrounded by her cherished family.  Bernice was born to the late Joseph and Mary (Trader) Maroszek in the Town of Maple Grove in Shawano County.  She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1958.  Bernice was employed at American Can Company in Neenah.  She met the love of her life Allan Nytes in October 1965.  Bernice and Allan were united in Holy Matrimony on October 8, 1966 at St. Mary’s Parish in Menasha.  They were blessed with 55 years of marriage.  Bernice was proudly a homemaker who raised four children.  Once her children were grown, she went back to the workforce.  In 1997 she decided to leave the workforce to help raise the grandchildren and was the most loving day care grandma.  Bernice loved spending time with her family at their cottage in Pickerel, WI.  The family regularly enjoyed ATV outings and gatherings around the campfire.  Bernice always had a smile on her face when she was dancing.  Polka music was her favorite but she also loved a nice slow dance with Allan or shaking it up with the grandkids.  She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed spending hours at the sewing machine.  You could always count on delicious baked goods when arriving at Grandma Bernice’s house.  She knew all the kids favorite desserts and did her best to please them all.  Bernice had fond memories of trips to Oahu, Hawaii and the country of Panama that her and Allan took after retirement.  If you asked Bernice what place she most wanted to see, her answer was Heaven.  Bernice has had a strong faith her entire life and now her journey has led her to the place that she once could only dream of.

Bernice is survived by her loving husband Allan Nytes, daughters; Sheila (Tony) Grossman, Lynn (Mark) Schwalbach, Karyn (John) Hendricks, Son, Dan (Shelley) Nytes, grandchildren; Cale (Kelli) Cayson Grossman, Hollie (Alec Pyenberg) Grossman, Brady Grossman, Lyndsey Siebers, Logan Siebers, Kristen Nytes, Aiden Nytes, Elliot Nytes, Riley Schwalbach, Laura (Jason) Goetz, Derek (Kayla) Hendricks, Troy  (Lauren) Hendricks, a brother, Ray (Mary Ann) Maroszek, a sister-in-law Regina Maroszek, Allan’s siblings; MaryAnn (Tom) Nettekoven, John (Sandee) Nytes, Jerry (Joan) Nytes, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law and father-in-law; Aloys and Edith Nytes, siblings; Richard (Vera) Maroszek, Sylvester Maroszek, Adeline (Frank) Wisniewski, Marvin (Alerta) Maroszek, Marie Maroszek, Jerry (Joyce) Maroszek and Robert Nytes.
