Barbara Ann (Hiroskey) Vandenberg

Our mom, Barbara Ann Vandenberg, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.  She was born on October 21, 1931 to Michael and Pearl (Booth) Hiroskey in West Virginia.  Barb was united in marriage to Harvey Vandenberg on November 17, 1951.  She was a home maker and loved tending to her home, baking and taking care of her family.  She also enjoyed spending time with her sister Glenna and bowling together.  Most important to her was her family. The time they spent together will always be treasured.

Barb is survived by her children; Brenda (Michael) Thomson, David Vandenberg, Richard Vandenberg, and Pam (Randy) Voeks, grandchildren; Joette (Charlie) Duffy, Shaun (Erin) Thomson, A.J. (Holly) Thomson, Dakotah and Cordell Voeks, great grandchildren; Chase, Tatum, Jadin, Jack, Lucy, Tessa, Ellie, Evelyn, and Benjamin, sister-in-law, Peggy Hiroskey, and in-laws; Agnes (Bernie) Merlin, Bev Vandenberg and Al Laux.  Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey, her parents, a grandson Christian Voeks, 2 sisters and 5 brothers.

The funeral service for Barb will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 600 E Kimberly Ave, Kimberly.  A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.  For online condolences please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.  A sincere Thank you to St Pauls Elder Care Facility and the CNAs on Poppy Path for their kindness and gentle care of our sometimes feisty mother.
