Audrey J. Brown

Audrey J. Brown, age 90, passed away peacefully at home, Sunday July 30, 2023 with her oldest daughter by her side. Audrey was born on June 14, 1933 in Potter, WI to Alice and Arno Kunz. Audrey grew up in Milwaukee and after meeting her husband Albert, at Great Lakes Naval Base and a short courtship, the two married April 23, 1955. Albert and Audrey eventually moved to Appleton to raise their four children.

Audrey loved the outdoors, camping, painting and her flower gardens. Audrey worked side by side with Al building their last two homes, one being a Cord Wood Log home, one of a handful in Wisconsin. She dearly loved her big family and get togethers. She also loved playing cards with her 500 Card Club ladies for over 50 years. Al and Audrey were also proud foster parents for 8 years.

Audrey is survived by her daughters: April Fitzgerald of Appleton, Amy Van Elzen of De Pere, and Ann Remus of Appleton; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one great- great grandchild; and special nieces: Cherie Kunz and Andrea Schmidt. Audrey is further survived by many extended family members and friends.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Albert, brother Allen, son Andrew, daughter-in-law Kari and her great granddaughter Kaitlyn.

Visitation for Audrey will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the home of Brian Fitzgerald, N144 County Road M, Hortonville, followed by a private family gathering.
