Anton “Tony” Napieralla

Anton Josef “Tony” Napieralla passed away on December 27th in Appleton, Wisconsin.  

Born to the late Francis Anton "Frank" Napieralla and Margaret Mary Hegel Napieralla of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, Tony was a cherished son, brother, father, and grandfather. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Kirsten Napieralla; his brother, Josef “Joe” (Cheryl) Napieralla; his sisters, Margaret “Peggy” (Karl) Theide and Frances “Fran” (Steve) Smith; and his granddaughter, Eden Howell Napieralla.  

A proud graduate of Kaukauna High School in 1980, Tony pursued his passion for music by attending the Atlanta Institute of Music in Atlanta, Georgia. His entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as he later opened two General Nutrition Centers (GNC), one in Atlanta and the first GNC in Augusta, Georgia. 

In 2002, Tony brought joy to countless children by opening A Bear is Born shop in the Green Bay Park Mall of Green Bay Wisconsin where he helped young visitors create treasured memories as they brought their own teddy bears to life.  

Tony was known by friends and family for having a good heart. He loved to laugh and had a passion for magic and unique collectibles that showcased his vibrant personality. 

In Lieu of flowers the family request donations to help with any unexpected expenses in Tony’s honor. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Verbeten's Bar and Grill, 154 E. 3rd St., Kaukauna, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist the family during this time.
