Anne Spreeman Obituary

Anne B. Spreeman, 84, of Coral, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Born on May 30, 1940, to Thomas and Audrey (Rowland) Coady, Anne was a cherished pillar of warmth and generosity among her loved ones. On June 14, 1958, Anne married her first love and lifelong partner, Donald Spreeman. Together, they nurtured a family that would grow to encompass children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom benefited from Anne’s boundless love and gentleness. For over 40 years, Anne graced Riches Food Products with her talent in baking and cake decorating, a skill so profound that she eventually founded her own business. Specializing in wedding and specialty cakes, Anne’s creations were not only visually stunning but also imbued with the flavors of tradition—her celebrated carrot cake recipe being a notable example. Anne’s home was a haven of hospitality. A visit to Anne’s meant hearty meals, warm hugs, and heartfelt conversations. Her love language was her cooking, always ensuring no plate was ever empty. Anne also cherished her annual travels to Florida with Donald, hunting for treasures at rummage sales, and spending invaluable time with her sisters and family. Anne will be remembered for her indomitable spirit, her generous heart, and her unwavering devotion to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever enrich the lives of those she touched.

Anne is survived by her children; Lisa (Leroy) Wenzel, William (Margaret) Spreeman, and Dawn (Gary) Zlevor, grandchildren; Tiffany (Shaun) Chandler, Corey Wenzel, Melissa (Nick) Biese, Matthew Spreeman, Casey Spreeman, William Spreeman Jr, Christopher (Isla) Zlevor, and Samantha Zlevor, great grandchildren; Madison Deering, Austin Biese, Aiden Chandler, Callum Zlevor, Shea Spreeman, Cooper Spreeman, Dylan Spreeman, Walker Spreeman, and Camryn Spreeman siblings; Janette Denton, Janeice Steinke, Rosemary Pyke, and Carolyn (Butch) Schrauben, brother-in-law Patrick “Mickey” Spreeman, sister-in-law Evelyn Coady, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, an infant son Donald Spreeman Jr., and siblings; Edith Frost, Patrick Coady, and James Coady, brother-in-law Lyle Pyke.
