Anna Hopfensperger Obituary

Anna M. Hopfensperger, our beloved daughter and sister, age 25, passed away unexpectedly in her home on March 28. Her strong and free-spirited soul left us too soon, but she will always be remembered by her tender heart, beautiful smile, and dimples.

Anna came into our world April 1, 1996, to the proud parents of Jim and Sherry Hopfensperger. She attended Kaukauna schools and graduated from Fox Valley Technical College with an AAS degree in Human Resources. She was currently employed at Spectrum.

Those who were fortunate enough to truly know Anna knew her as one who loved not only her own dogs, Blu and Kaya, but all of God’s creatures, especially the ones who are suffering. One of Anna’s greatest joys was reading stories about dogs and cats finding a forever home. Anna spent time volunteering as an Admin for the Community Helpers Free Aid Facebook Group, where she organized clothing and household items and distributed them to those in need. Anna spent hours on crafts just to gift them to friends and family. Anna recently checked off a box on her bucket list when she went swimming with the dolphins in Florida (thanks Max). Anna was fiercely loyal to those she held close to her heart, and she was never shy to stand up for what she believed in. Our dinners around the kitchen table always produced a laugh with her sarcastic wit, and unusual circumstances she always found herself in.

Anna is survived by her parents, Jim and Sherry Hopfensperger; two siblings: Ryan (fiancée Frankie), and Sarah (special friend Erik); and her two dogs, Blu and Kaya. She is further survived by her maternal grandmother, Adeline Vercauteren, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her Aunt Cathy, who always provided Anna with a compassionate ear to listen.

Anna was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Jim and Dolores Hopfensperger, who were there to welcome her into heaven, maternal grandfather Lloyd Vercauteren, and our family dog Rosie, who held a special place in Anna’s heart. We know in our hearts that she has found everlasting peace in Heaven, playing 31 with grandma, with Rosie at her feet, and angels by her side.

Private family services will be held at a later date. We request that in lieu of flowers or memorials, please consider donating money or supplies to the Fox Valley Humane Society in Anna’s memory to carry on her love and advocacy for all animals.
