Andrea Horn Obituary

Our beloved Andrea (Milis) Horn, 33, of Darboy, passed away from cancer on Friday November 26, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.

Andrea was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on September 27, 1988. She graduated from Kimberly High School in 2007, then attended Marian University in Fond du Lac where she studied Theology. After college she did ministry work and fell in love with the South, which led her to Charlotte, North Carolina. There she joined the Daughters of the Virgin Mother, a religious order dedicated to praying for Priests. She spent two years in formation with the Daughters, where she was able to grow in love with our Lord and share his joy.  After health complications caused her to leave, she returned home to Wisconsin where she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. As she took up her cross and battled cancer, God sent Adam to walk with her on this journey. They were married on August 8, 2020, at St. Patrick’s Oratory. Together they enjoyed spending time up north at the “Farm” in Rib Lake, Wisconsin. They both studied theology and together they loved to discuss the Catholic faith. During this time, she worked at the Diocese of Green Bay.

Andrea was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many. She had a passion for sharing and teaching the Catholic faith with everyone. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and cherished being a Godmother. She had a niche for making everything beautiful and directing all the glory to God. Her presence was uplifting to all who knew her. The joy she had was contagious, her laughter drew people in and would brighten the room. Her soul was radiant, she was always happy and cheerful with a sense of humor that was goofy and fun! She liked walking, hiking, kayaking, and especially fishing with Adam. She was captivated by the ocean and took many trips to the beach to marvel at its beauty. Andrea also loved singing and making up her own songs, always playful and adventurous.

Andrea is survived by her husband, Adam Horn; parents: Susan (Gary) Vosters and Charles Milis; siblings: Jen (Andy) Weber, JoJo (Brett) Nelson and Jake Vosters; nieces and nephews: Austen, Blaire, Cecilia and Westley; grandmothers: Irene Van Asten and Joann Van Cuyk; father and mother-in-law, Steve and Kathy Horn; in-laws: Jacob Horn and Sarah Horn; grandmother-in-law, Alice Jansen.  Andrea is further survived by her loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Andrea was preceded in death by her grandfathers: Floyd Van Asten and Charles Milis; a brother-in-law, Zach Horn and other family members.
