Allan P. "Al" Keberlein

Kaukauna-Allan (Al) Keberlein passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday June 15, 2024 at the age of 76.  He was born in October, 1947, to Elmer and Sylvia Keberlein.  He grew up in Kaukauna with eleven siblings and was a 1965 graduate of Kaukauna High School.  He earned two Associate degrees from Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton.  He retired in 2009 from Waupaca Elevator.

Al was a loving husband to his wife, Mona, for over 55 years.  Together they raised three beautiful daughters who were blessed with his love and caring ways.

Al was also a devoted grandfather of seven grandchildren and enjoyed attending all their sporting events, band concerts and recitals.  He also enjoyed family gatherings and group hugs!

Two of Al’s favorite leisure activities were bowling and golfing.  He was on numerous leagues and made many friends because of these experiences.  As an outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting in the fall, camping in the summer months and fishing at his daughter’s cottage in Townsend.  He also enjoyed spending a month every year in Florida with family and friends.

Although Al was a quiet man, he was very quick-witted and had the ability to make people laugh. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Al is survived by his wife, Ramona (Peeters) Keberlein; children Brigitte (Gary) Granger, Therese (Rich) Peters, Jill (Jeff) Van Thiel; grandchildren Ethan Granger, Zane Granger, Cayden Granger, Evelyn Peters, Audrey Peters, Lauren Van Thiel, Carter Van Thiel; siblings Nancy (Ralph) Schroeder, Michael (Pat) Keberlein, Elmer Keberlein, Joan Keberlein, Mary Van Horn, Russell (Mary) Keberlein, Julie Wichelt, Jane Berg, Melissa (Glen) Sather; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Sylvia Keberlein; his brothers Edward Keberlein and James Keberlein; his father and mother-in-law Mark and Mary Ellen Peeters; a sister-in-law Janice Keberlein and a brother-in-law Guy Peeters; and two recently departed special friends.

A memorial service for Al will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. at Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna.  Family and friends may visit at the funeral home starting at 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
