Agnes Belle Hietpas, age 72, of Kaukauna, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday September 24, 2025.
Agnes was born on January 28, 1953 to the late Harold and Lorraine (Guyette) Shuckhart. On October 1, 1971, she was married to the love of her life Dennis Hietpas, SR. They resided in Kaukauna, where they raised their two children.
Agnes worked as a bartender at J&R’s Welcome Inn for over 15 years where she made many friends along the way while making the best kiddie cocktails in town. She enjoyed Bingo, playing cards and Yahtzee with her family. The hundreds of dozens of Christmas Cookies she made each year surely will be missed. Her infectious smile could light up a room. Her witty humor and big heart will be missed dearly.
Agnes is survived by her loving husband Dennis, her two children Dennis, JR (Kari) Hietpas and Rose Hietpas and her eight grandchildren, Heaven Lambert, Brandie Hietpas, Corey (Kayla) Hietpas, Cody Hietpas, Dennis (DJ) Hietpas III, Brittney Hietpas, Shelby Hietpas, Rheann (William) Knowles. She was a great grandmother to six, Ivee, Dennis IV, Charlotte, Dylan, Ellie and Harvey. Agnes is also survived by her two sisters, Juanita DeBruin and Peggi Hoehne and brothers/sisters-in-law, Becky Hietpas, Bonnie Fischer, Joanie (Cletus) Hubers, Karen (Dale) Mahnke, Kevin (Karen) Hietpas, Jeanie Zornow, Roy (Carol) Hietpas, Ray Hietpas, Randy (Tammy) Hietpas, Scott (Michelle) Hietpas, Mike (Sandy) Hietpas, Sue (Jeff) Finch, Mary (Jon) Paris along with numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lorraine Shuckhart; brother, Harold Shuckhart; sisters, Mary Arnoldussen, Marie Frank and Linda Miller; and many in-laws, and many half-brothers/sisters.
A funeral service for Agnes will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna.
