Oscar “Bill” Miller

Bill Miller, age 71, of Kaukauna, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. He was born on June 23, 1948, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, son of the late Oscar and Dorothy (Roth) Miller. Bill married Karen Doll on August 26, 1972.

Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed in the cement industry for 38 years, retiring from Hercules Cement in 2010. He has recently been working at the Piggly Wiggly in Kaukauna for the last eight years.

Bill found a lot of joy in portraying Santa for many children at different functions over the last 40 years. He also loved traveling with his friends, the “Encruisiastics”, on many cruises through the years. Later in life, Bill picked up fishing and enjoyed the comradery that went with it.

Bill was very involved with his churches both in Pennsylvania and Kaukauna. He was an Elder Emeritus at his former church, St. Paul’s UCC in Trexlertown, PA and was also an active member at Immanuel UCC in Kaukauna. 

Bill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Karen Miller; daughters: Cindy (Marc) Weiher and Amy (Ryan) Ramkhelawan; grandchildren; Eric and Allison Weiher and Mia and Jake Ramkhelawan; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Dorothy Miller; two brothers: Dennis Miller and Charles Patrick (Jeanne) Miller.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 510 Sullivan Ave., Kaukauna. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Immanuel United Church of Christ would be appreciated.
