Marshall “Curly” Moseng

Marshall Raymond Moseng was born in Neenah on June 20, 1936 to Sigard and Linda Moseng.  He was baptized and became a child of God a few months later on September 20, 1936 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Neenah.  He was the oldest of 5 children.  In his early 20’s, “Curly” served in the U.S. Army at Ft. Meade, MD, maintaining and repairing army vehicles.  He cherished his military service and spoke highly of it.  After returning home, he met Delores Harp and helped Dee and her parents through some difficult times.  Eventually, he and she were married on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1974, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Appleton.  Not long after, he became a member at St. Matthew through adult confirmation.  Curly was blessed with a child-like faith which firmly trusted in Jesus’ redemption and faithfully followed God’s will.  In his later years, Curly underwent 6 years of treatment for cancer, and passed away early Thanksgiving Day, November 23rd.  He and Dee shared a final anniversary kiss before his Lord took him home to heaven.

Curly is survived by his wife Delores (Dee), his children Michael Moseng, Pamele Odele, Timothy Moseng, and Laurie Strickland; and by his stepchildren Kristina Mohr, Karen Mayo, and Robert Shepherd; and by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Surviving siblings are sisters Carol Kambal, Marilyn Ebbens, Dawn Nantais, and brother, Randy Moseng.

A committal with military honors will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday . December 7th at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, 3131 N Richmond St, Appleton, WI 54911.
