Joan A. “Tickle” Kielgas, age 83, of Kaukauna, passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 8, 2017. She was born on March 16, 1934, daughter of the late Walter and Katherine (Krause) Specht.
Tickle married Dave Kielgas on October 24, 1969. She enjoyed any time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Tickle loved Christmas time and being able to spoil everyone with lots of gifts.
Tickle is survived by her husband, Dave Kielgas; her children: Lea Ann Van Groll, Sherri (Mike) Gartzke, Cyndi (Dale) Bornemann and Kim Schultz; grandchildren: David (Stephanie) Van Groll, Scott Van Deurzen, Sarah (Kurt) Hintz, Steve Van Deurzen, Jeremy Gartzke, Rachel Gartzke, Ben Schultz, Tony Schultz and Alex Bornemann; great grandchildren: Brianna Van Groll, Brayden Van Deurzen, Jack Hintz and Kate Hintz; a brother, Walter “Dubber” (Donna) Specht; many other family members and friends.
Tickle was preceded in death by her first husband, Irvin “Ers” Van Deurzen; a son, Jack Van Deurzen; son-in-law, Dennis Van Groll, siblings: Jean (Curtis) Wolf, Bob (Valoise) Specht, Charles Specht, Bernadette “Crickette” (Robert) Alger and Dorothy Mae Dercks; father and mother-in-law, Hugo and Gertrude Kielgas.
Private family services will be held. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly.
