Jeff S. Schramm

Jeff S. Schramm, age 59, of Kaukauna, passed away on May 16, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 18, 1959, son of Jim and Arlene (Berg) Schramm. On October 28, 1988, Jeff married the love of his life, Jill Fries.

Jeff loved to golf. He took yearly trips to do so and golfed as often as he could at home. He also enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, snowmobiling up north and traveling the world. He was a huge supporter and fan of anything Kaukauna. Jeff was a member of the Kaukauna Wrestling Club, the Kaukauna Quarterbacks Club and a supporter of the Kaukauna Youth Baseball program. He coached his son’s baseball and football teams up until high school.

Jeff dedicated his life to the trucking industry. He was a state CDL examiner and he worked 29 years at VS Midwest Carriers as the Vice President of operations.

 Jeff was also a very proud dad. His two children made him proud every day and he loved them both dearly. Jeff’s large personality and love for life will be deeply missed.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jill Schramm; daughter, Jessi (fiance, Nevin Lansing) Schramm; son, Jake Schramm; mother, Arlene (special friend, Mitch) Schramm; siblings: Julie Sears and her children: Brooke and Abbey; and John (Tammy) Schramm and their children: Clay and Kylie; father and mother-in-law, LeRoy and Judy Fries; brother-in-law: Jody (Laurie) Fries and her daughter, Lindsey; many other extended family members and too many friends to list.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Jim Schramm.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20, 2019, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home FREEDOM LOCATION, N3972 Columbia Ave., Freedom. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Jeff’s name. The Schramm family would like to thank all the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, but especially those working 4th floor oncology, and all the doctors from Green Bay Oncology for the compassionate care given to Jeff and his family.
