Henry John Emons

Henry J. Emons, age 93, of Darboy, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. He was born in Darboy on January 18, 1925, son of the late Peter Emons and Hattie Vander Linden-Van Oss. Henry married Scholastica Osowsky, and together they have shared over 67 years of marriage. Together, they farmed in Darboy until their retirement.

Henry enjoyed playing cards, especially sheepshead, traveling and watching the Packers and Brewers. In his younger years, he played organized baseball and enjoyed ice skating, bowling and dancing. He was also a long time member of Holy Spirit Parish.

Henry is survived by his loving wife, Scholastica; children: Carol (Richard) Cooney, Robert Emons and Michael Emons; grandchildren: William Cooney and Cynthia (Ross) Street; great grandchildren: Brady and Nolan Street; a sister-in-law, Frances Van Oss; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Hattie; and his brothers: Hubert (Marge) Van Oss and William Van Oss.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Holy Spirit Parish, Holy Angels Church, W2796 Cty Hwy KK, Appleton, with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
