Floyd H. Wadel, age 90, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2018. He was born on June 6, 1928, son of the late Otto and Leona (Kuse) Wadel.
Floyd married Joyce Pingel on May 27, 1950, and together celebrated over 68 years of marriage. He worked at Appleton Wire Works for 42 years before his retirement in 1990. Floyd enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and fishing, especially out on Lake Michigan. He was an avid lover of sports and enjoyed watching and cheering on the Brewers, Bucks, Badgers and the Green Bay Packers.
Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; his son, Dave (Terry) Wadel and his daughter, Susan (Robb Waugus) Wadel; grandchildren: Chris (Amy) Wadel, Brett Wadel, Allyson (Kyle) Hofacker and Drew (Sam Vosters) Wadel; great- grandchildren: Ava, Christian and Adrian Wadel and Liam Hofacker; brothers and sisters-in-law: Lucille Wadel, Lois (James) Errington and Roy (Verla) Pingel. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Earl Wadel and a nephew Larry Wadel.
