David R. Schwartz, age 55, of Neenah WI, passed peacefully, surrounded by his family on December 9, 2018 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton, WI. David bravely fought a two year battle with esophageal cancer. He was born May 21, 1963, in Oshkosh, WI to Robert Schwartz and Barbara Romenesko.
David was a 1981 graduate of Sycamore Illinois High School. He worked as a purchaser at Appleton Marine, where he displayed a great knack for negotiation and problem solving.
David loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also loved car karaoke and video gaming.
David is survived by his four children and their spouses: Justin and Brittney Schwartz, Seymour; Christina and Dan Heindl, Little Chute; Danyelle and Jason Campbell, Kimberly and Morgen Schwartz, Appleton; his four grandchildren: Grace, Mason, Caleb, Graham and soon to be fifth grandson; his parents: Robert and Cheryl Schwartz, Greenville; and Barbara Romenesko, Grand Chute; his three brothers and their spouses: Dennis and Kim Schwartz, Richard Schwartz and Darren and Melanie Schwartz; and ten nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Vernon V. Romenesko and nephew Micah Schwartz.
Family, friends and others whose lives David touched are invited to the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 101 Canal St. Little Chute, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. A time for sharing memories will conclude the evening. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in David’s name.
