Craig Steven Elliott, age 48 of Kaukauna, WI, passed away peacefully at Froedert Medical Center in Milwaukee on November 17, 2018 after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family. Craig was born on November 29, 1969 to Jerome and Barbara (Van Gompel) Elliott. He attended Kaukauna High School and University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh where he got a degree in fine arts and photography.
Craig had several rewarding jobs where he could showcase his profound artistic talents, from photography and graphic design for AAL/Thrivent Financial, to Oneida Casino and the entertainment industry. He has a huge collection of sketches, oil and watercolor paintings, sculptures and woodworking pieces that his friends and family will treasure dearly.
Craig was a loving and dedicated father to his daughter Lauren, the light of his life. He coached her in softball and helped to foster a love for softball, volleyball and art in Lauren’s life. Wherever or whenever Lauren was playing in a game or practicing or performing, Craig was sure to be there as her biggest cheerleader and supporter.
Craig also enjoyed playing volleyball, camping, fishing, hunting, disc golf with his buddy Shane Van Boxtel, cottage fun at Will Van Eperen’s place, and sharing his painting talents by doing murals and unique painting in people’s homes.
He is survived by his daughter Lauren Elliott, former spouse and Lauren’s mother Sue Elliott Madigan, his mother Barbara (Van Gompel) Elliott, sister Julie and Al Huss and their children Amy, Tonya and Joe; brother Matt and Jamie Elliott and their children Nathan and Cody; ‘adopted’ sister Bobbi Jo and Ben Propson and their children Ronan and Milo and many relatives and close friends.
