He is survived by his wife Nancy, his sons, Matthew (Lee) and Christopher (Stacie); his grandsons, Alexander, Hunter and Andrew; his brother, Jim (Denise) Balgie and their son’s Troy and Ben; his sister, Mary (Mike) Frank; his brother-in-law, Van Howerton and son’s, Kurt (Lori), Mike (Christy) and Robbie Howerton.  Carl is further survived by his sister’s-in-law and their children, Susan Kendrick, Bonnie (John) Cruz, and Patricia (Otto) Jaeger; his brother’s-in-law and their children, Jack (Vicki) Miller, Charles (Rose) Miller, Timothy (Karen) Miller, and Michael Miller.  He is also survived by his step-bothers, Lyle and Cliff and step-sisters, Sandy, Lynn, Sherry, Donna and Carla.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barb Howerton; his father and mother-in-law; brothers-in-law, Clifford J. Miller and Claude Kendrick, and his step-mother, Marie.

The Balgie family wishes to thank all of Carl’s caregivers and Hospice workers at Cherry Meadows and The Heritage.  They were all wonderful and treated Carl with respect and dignity.  This was especially important to his wife.  Carl’s family would also like to thank their family members for their help and support throughout his illness.  A special thank you goes out to friends Cherie and Colin Plaster and to Richard and Anne Van Handel.  We couldn’t ask for better friends and neighbors.  Also a special thank you to Troy Beck our Thrivent agent who guided and supported us along the way.
