Barbara Joy “Babs” Terry, age 74, of Kimberly, passed away peacefully at Appleton Medical Center on September 23, 2019 after many courageous medical battles, some of which were victorious.
Babs was born in Milwaukee on March 23, 1945, to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Santner) Turecek. She was also preceded in death by the first love of her life, Patrick John Terry.
She will be sorely missed by her brothers, Michael (Judy) Turecek and Joseph (Lisa) Turecek; her children Kim (Duke) Eisch, Kandace (Amit Khanna) Terry, Patrick “Gopher” (Stephanie) Terry, Nakia Huff and Korissa (Trent) Danielson; cherished grandchildren: Josie and Carson Terry, Keira Khanna, Tayveanna Jones and Tyrese Huff, Iyvee and Mylah Danielson; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Babs was passionate about the things that were important in her life including her family, cheering on her grandchildren and her work at Festival Foods in the Floral Department. Those that knew Babs benefitted from her unerring support no matter what. If Babs was in your corner, you had no stronger defender. If she thought you could do better, it only took one look to let you know. She taught everyone to always be strong, never feel sorry for yourself and keep reaching for every chance. The family would like to thank all of the health care providers involved in her care that gave her the chances she asked for.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute. Visitation will be at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
The upcoming holiday season was Babs’ favorite time of year. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you think of her when you light a tree and consider donating gifts to families in need.
