Ranee Lee Fietzer-Frank, age 42, passed away on March 11, 2017 after a courageous battle with mucosal melanoma cancer.
Ranee was born May 18, 1974 to Darryl and Ardys (Poppe) Fietzer in New London, Wisconsin and was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bear Creek, Wisconsin.
As a young girl Ranee was an active member of 4-H and participated in horse and dog showing competitions. Her love of animals followed her throughout her life as she attended countless dog show competitions as both a competitor and a judge.
Ranee graduated from New London High School in 1992 and went on to attend NWTC in Green Bay. She majored in jewelry goldsmithing and fabrication, graduating in 1993. Ranee furthered her jewelry training at the GIA Gemologist program in Santa Monica, California in 1994.
Ranee started working at London Jewelers in 1995. She married the love of her life, Michael Frank, on the sandy beaches of Nassau, Bahamas on May 29, 2004. Ranee and her husband Mike eventually purchased London Jewelers from her parents in January of 2013. Her cancer diagnosis unfortunately led to closing the store in December of 2016.
Ranee loved to travel and see places she had never been to. She and Mike traveled all over the United States. They also made many trips to Caribbean locations to soak up the sun during the cold Wisconsin winters. She enjoyed so many special vacations with her wonderful friends.
Ranee was the most positive person you would ever meet and those who knew her would say she never had a bad word to say about anyone. She would light up a room with her smile when she entered. Her friends, family and thousands of London Jewelers customers know this smile and will miss it dearly.
The world truly is a lesser place, now that you’re gone.
Ranee is survived by her husband, Michael Frank; her parents: Darryl and Ardys Fietzer; her brother, Kyle (Cindy) Fietzer; brothers-in-law: Steve (Courtney) Frank, Dan (Heather) Frank; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and so many incredible friends.
A celebration of Ranee’s life will take place on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, N3972 Columbia Ave., Freedom, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
