Neil Jadin Obituary

Neil Jadin, age 81, of Freedom, affectionately known by his grandchildren as “Gramps,” passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 3rd after a family gathering celebrating his life. Even through his courageous battle with lung cancer, his love for family and community remained his top priority.

Neil graduated from Freedom High School in 1954 and married the love of his life, Carol (Coenen) Jadin, on September 12, 1959. The two spent the next 58 years building beautiful memories with their children, the “Seven from Heaven,” and grandchildren, who were an integral part of their lives.

Neil’s infectious personality and charisma touched countless individuals and made him a familiar face loved by many in the Freedom community and at Miller Electric, his workplace of 34 years. He was an avid sports enthusiast and led the Freedom Chain Gang for over 40 years. He served as a member of the Freedom Athletic Association and School Board. Neil will be remembered for his passion for gardening and lawn rolling.

Neil is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his 7 children and their families: Keith (Sandy) Jadin and their children: Max Jadin and Derrick Domask and his son Camden Domask; Dean (Cory) Jadin and their children: Jack and Charlie Jadin, Sophie and Hannah Hathaway, Nick (Jess) Polakowski and their daughter, Claire, and Noah (Karissia) Polakowski, and their children: Mikah and Milo; Mindy Jadin; Greg (Annette) Jadin and their children: Lucas (Katie) Jadin and their son, Drew, Logan Jadin and Levi (fiance, Jenny Peterson) Jadin; Brenda (Mike) Green and their children: Jacob, Garret and Dwight Green; Bruce (Judy) Jadin and their daughter, Madelynn Jadin; Andrea (Kevin) Schwaller and their children: Grace and Beau Schwaller; siblings: Gary (Kaye) Jadin, Ken (Leslie) Jadin and Gloria (Dick) Peters; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bev Schuh, Betty Mato, Gary (Karen) Coenen and David (Jonnell) Coenen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Neil was preceded in death by his parents, Antone and Gladys (Fabry) Jadin; brother-in-law, Jerry Schuh and a sister-in-law, Donna Ambrose.
