Jeannie Techlin

October 29, 2017

Jeannie Helen (Kempf) Techlin passed into the loving arms of Jesus Sunday, October 29, 2017 following a brief illness. She was 76 years old.

Jeannie was born to Donald and Helen (Dempsey) Kempf at home in Bear Creek township, WI on January 31, 1941.

She married the love of her life, Kenneth Techlin at Fort Lewis, WA on March 12, 1962. They celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary in March.

She was a proud graduate of Clintonville High School, class of 1959.  She held a variety of jobs including those at St. Joseph’s Residency and Black Creek Cheese Factory. Her most important job was taking care of the family where in later years she enjoyed taking care of the grandchildren.

She was a member of St John Catholic Church in Little Chute.  Praying the Rosary daily was a very important part of her faith.

She loved her family, gardening, reading, travelling out of state to visit family and see sites along the way. She was the family historian and knew family genealogy back to the 1600’s. She was proud of her Irish heritage. She loved many types of music. Some that would bring a sparkle to her eyes and a dance to her step were bagpipe music, Elvis, Freddie Fender and Johnny Cash.

Jeannie is survived by her husband Kenneth and 3 daughters. Victoria (Robert) Snyder, Platteville; Ann Marie Techlin, Little Chute; Lisa (Joseph) Priebe, Oneida. Six grandchildren: Ashley Snyder, Alexander Snyder, Samantha Priebe (Josh Kaczmarowski), Steven Priebe, Nicholas Priebe and Sadie Priebe. One great-grand daughter, Trinity Kaczmarowski.

You showed us how to have strength when we felt we couldn’t take another step.

You showed us to turn to God and pray when we didn’t have the answer.

You held us with your warm embrace and showed us how to love with grace.

You showed us to laugh through the hardest of tears and showed us we would be okay long after you weren’t here.

Very well done, Jeannie (Mom)
