Jean M. Wydeven

March 23, 1934 ~ June 24, 2016 (age 82) 82 Years Old

Jean “Jenner” Wydeven, Age 82, of Menasha, passed away on June 24, 2016. She was born on March 23, 1934, in Appleton, daughter of the late Arthur and Frances (Sternagel) Noffke. Jean married Ronald “Bud” Wydeven on May 25, 1957. Together they joined the Holy Angels Church in Darboy in 1959. Jean worked full time at Riverside Paper before taking time off to start a family. Later she went back to work at Appleton Toy Factory and then joined Van Hoof Industries (Pacon) for 20 years until her retirement in 1994.

Jean was preceded in death by Bud on April 18, 1986. Together they spent most of their married life in Kimberly in an especially close neighborhood on Willow Street where many special friendships and memories were made. Later, many good times were spent with her card playing buddies Toots, Irene, and lifelong friend Peg.

Jenner enjoyed baseball, bowling, golfing, fishing, camping, traveling, watching most sports, wood working, riding her pontoon boat and playing the piano. She is survived by four children:  Mary (Brian) Radichel (Neenah), Jeff (Tracy) Wydeven (Kaukauna) , Dean Wydeven (Grand Chute), and Greg (Chrissy) Wydeven (Menasha); seven grandchildren: Luke (Katie) Derks, Ashley (Jon) Kraft, Brad Wydeven and special friend Macaira Woody, Laina Wydeven, and T.J., Macy, and Holly Wydeven; three great grandchildren: Jackson and Derek Kraft and Ethan Derks; one sister: Margaret “Honey” Schley; one brother-in-law: Leo (Lizzie) Huelsbeck; one sister-in-law: Janice De Goey. Jean was preceded in death by her family: Ruth (Wilbur “Moon”) Frederick, Pearl (Ray) Holschach, Bernice “Toots” Huelsbeck, Roy (Lorraine) Noffke, Ralph “Bucky” (Dorothy) Noffke, Sherman “Shim” (Eileen Deno) Noffke, Harold “Teenie” Noffke, Clyde Schley, Robert De Goey, and Roland “Whitey” Wydeven.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 620 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly, with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. Thanks to all those special people who stopped in to check in on Jenner during the hard times.  And also, to ThedaCare Hospice—both the people who worked with her at home and at Cherry Meadows.    They are truly God sent.
