Welcome to the memorial page for

Jan Vande Hey

March 24, 2017

Jan Vande Hey, age 71, of Kaukauna, ran into the arms of Jesus surrounded by her loving family on March 24, 2017, Vigil of Feast of the Annunciation.  Jan began her faith journey with her parents, Roman and Marie Salm, and attended St. John Catholic Schools in Little Chute. Jan was a beautiful, loving wife to Ken Vande Hey for 50 years, raising their children in a faith-filled home. Together, they lived life for the Lord, fulfilling their mission to lead others to Jesus through many parish and diocesan ministries, among them Confirmation, youth ministry, Colorado leadership retreats, Cursillo, singing with “Du-Du’s”, and respect-life.  Many have been blessed by her glowing smile, warm hugs, deep faith, and “I wish you Jesus!”

Jan is survived by her husband, Ken, and their children and grandchildren: Joe (Lauree), children: Madison, Augusta, Ryane, Joseph, Faith, Luke; Becky (Stephan) Walker, children: Gabriel, Grace, Marie; Mark (Becky), children: McKenna, David; Jim (Susan), children: Vanessa, Cole, Andrew, Alison; and Tom (Selene), children: Taygan, Zac.  Jan is survived by her siblings: Ray Salm, Doris Jansen, Jim Salm, Roman (Virgie) Salm, Jr, Marian (Jack) Vande Hey, Jerry “Soupy” (Lois) Salm, Cathy (Dick) Bauer, Bob (Gail) Salm, Dick (Peg) Salm, Deb (Steve) Halverson, and Anne (Glenn) Higgins. Jan is also survived by siblings-in-law: Patti Salm, Bonnie (John) Gilles, Mark Vande Hey, Joyce (Tom) Lamers, Deacon Steve (Peggy) Vande Hey, and Ellen (Dan) Eisenschink; hundreds of nieces and nephews, and countless spiritual children and friends.
